San Marino Government allocates a contribution in favour of Haiti people

Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Antonella Mularoni, has submitted today to the State Congress the proposal to allocate a contribution of the San Marino Government in favour of Haiti people, hit by the terrible earthquake affecting the Central-American country some days ago.
The San Marino Government has decided to take action through CERF, the Central Emergency Response Fund, a United Nations body which supports people affected by natural and humanitarian disasters. It receives funds both from Member States and public and private entities and has been cooperating with San Marino for some years.
The sum allocated of $ 50,000 will be used mostly to alleviate the tragedy of this country, among the poorest of the world, which is experiencing one of the most dramatic emergencies in recent history.
