Political Activity

For several years, member of the Executive Committee of the San Marino Christian Democratic Party’s Youth Movement, responsible for International Relations; member of the Party Central Committee.

Member of the Committee on Gender Equality in Legislation in the 1980s. The task of this Committee was to draft a new piece of legislation on Family Law, which was approved by the Great and General Council (Parliament) in April 1986.

Founding member of the political movement “People’s Alliance of San Marino Democrats”, January 1993; Co-ordinator, January-June 1993, President of the Assembly, January 1998-December 1999.

Member of the Great and General Council of the Republic of San Marino, May 1993-March 2001.

XXIII legislature (1993-1998): President of People’s Alliance of San Marino Democrats; member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Immigration, Information, Transport and Telecommunications, Security and Public Order; member of the Parliamentary Committee responsible for drafting the new Code of Criminal Procedure; member of the National Group in the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
