Public event on the European Union
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to invite all citizens to a public event to be held next Wednesday, 16 March, at 9.00 p.m., at the Township Hall of Domagnano. During the event, to be coordinated by the officials of the Foreign Affairs Department, in the presence of the members of the Technical Group, the “Final Report prepared by the Technical Group for the Assessment of new Policies for the Integration with the European Union” will be presented. The summary of this Report has already been sent to all heads of family residing in the Republic of San Marino. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonella Mularoni, in delivering the opening speech, will underline the reasons for the establishment of the Technical Group and the needs for analysis at the basis of its activities. This speech will be followed by the presentation of the Group by the Coordinator of the Foreign Affairs Department, who will illustrate its composition, the general themes discussed and the criteria followed. The officials of the Foreign Affairs Department who have prepared the Report will then present the procedures adopted for the analysis and the elaboration of the contributions stemming from the meetings of the Group. Moreover, they will provide further details on the issues analysed, the main critical points addressed, the areas of greatest integration and the controversial aspects, the comparison with the experience of other small States and finally the general conclusions of the report. During the second part of the event, the audience will have the opportunity to pose questions to the speakers. Moreover, in view of the debate to be held next Wednesday, it is possible to receive information on the activities carried out by the Technical Group, to make comments or ask for clarifications through the e-mail address info.europa@esteri.sm. On this occasion, the new section on Europe of the web site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (www.esteri.sm) will also be presented. The citizenship is invited to participate.
