State visit by the President of the Republic of Albania H.E. Ilir Meta

Next Tuesday 10th July Their Excellencies the Captains Regent Stefano Palmieri and Matteo Ciacci will welcome the President of the Republic of Albania, H.E. Ilir Meta, on a State Visit to San Marino.
The last meeting between the highest representatives of the two States dates back two years ago in June, when the Captains Regent went to Albania on an official visit upon invitation of the then president, on the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
President Meta will arrive in San Marino with his delegation in the early afternoon on Monday 9th July and will remain until Wednesday 11th July. A series of institutional events will take place next Tuesday.

The day will begin with a flag-raising ceremony and a line-up of the San Marino Uniformed Corps in Piazza della Libertą, followed by a meeting among the Captains Regent and the President of the Republic of Albania. Upon arrival at the Government Building, the Distinguished Guest will be welcomed in the Hall of the Council of the XII by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicola Renzi and by some Government Colleagues. H.E. the President will then hold a private meeting with the Heads of State. The private audience at 12.15 p.m. will mark the end of the morning celebrations. At 3 p.m., H.E. Meta will lay a laurel wreath on the “Ara dei Volontari” memorial.

On Monday and Wednesday, H.E. President Meta will visit some of San Marino’s manufacturing companies and cultural organisations.
