Celebrations on the 40th anniversary of the San Marino-America Brotherhood and American Independence Day

The celebrations on the Independence Day of the United States of America, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the San Marino-America Brotherhood, took place yesterday at the Torraccia airfield. The event was organised by the San Marino-America Brotherhood and was also attended by institutional representatives.
Mr. Samuele Guiducci, Personal Assistant to the San Marino Foreign Affairs Minister Nicola Renzi, took part in the event on behalf of the Minister; a delegation from the American Consulate in Florence was led by Vice Consul George Mesthos.
During the celebrations, the institutional representatives also examined the numerous ongoing projects of collaboration and confirmed that San Marino will submit to the American administration a draft DTA (Double Taxation Agreement), and will look forward to a prompt response.
Both sides also confirmed their full availability to maintain excellent ongoing cooperation, particularly as regards the Social Security Agreement and the Visa Waiver Program. The representatives of both countries ensured that they are working closely together with the goal of rapidly implementing ongoing projects.
