Donation of masks by the Consul of San Marino to London

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce one of the latest concrete testimonies of solidarity to San Marino and its citizens.

Through diplomatic channels, a cargo of 2,500 disposable masks has just arrived in San Marino. This is a first partial shipment, which is part of a much larger consignment, including protective devices equipped with a filter and additional medical supplies, which will be immediately provided to the health facilities for medical and welfare treatments.

The donation of the medical supplies was made by the Honorary Consul of San Marino to London, Maurizio Bragagni. Honorary Consul Bragagni, through constant contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Silvia Marchetti, has worked intensively with British Authorities to activate new channels for the supply of medicines, as well as for the repatriation of San Marino citizens from Great Britain.

In addition, the Consulate to London has recently launched a fundraising campaign on social networks to raise funds for the Civil Protection, as a further proof of its solidarity with San Marino.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to thank, also publicly, Maurizio Bragagni, together with his staff, for the generosity underlying his action as a Consul. Besides, the Ministry takes this opportunity to thank all diplomatic and consular representatives who, with their spirit of service and self-sacrifice, are the spokesmen of the country's current needs and emergencies linked to the pandemic.
