The Ambassador of the United States of America, H.E. Tilman Joseph Fertitta presented in the afternoon at the Government Building to Their Excellencies the Captains Regent, H.E. Denise Bronzetti and H.E. Italo Righi, his Credential Letters.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luca Beccari welcomed the new Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador, accompanied by the Consul General of the United States of America in Florence, Daniela Ballard. On this occasion Minister Beccari recalled the historical friendship that has always existed between the two States, characterised by a consolidated willingness, spirit of hospitality and cooperation in the economic, social and cultural sectors.

H.E. Tilman Joseph Fertitta was received by the highest institutional and government representatives at the Building Government with the highest military honours. The ceremony of the presentation of his Credential Letters officially initiates his high diplomatic mandate.

Minister Beccari recalled that today’s occasion reaffirms once again a bond that goes beyond mere diplomacy: a bond of friendship and mutual esteem based on the sharing of deep common ideals.

“Especially in the current geopolitical scenario, marked by a climate of profound uncertainty at global level, the United States is confirmed as a reliable and strategic partner, whose support is crucial to ensure common stability and security”.
