Foreign Minister Beccari will participate in the High-level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, to be held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 28 to 30 July.

The Conference, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, was originally slated to begin in June, but it was quickly suspended due to circumstances in the Middle East region.

Held to convene the international community and push for global action  to achieve a peaceful resolution of the Palestinian question and the implementation of the two-State solution, the Conference aims to outline concrete steps toward full respect of international law as well as to pursue efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace.

"I am honoured to attend and speak at this High-Level Conference," says Minister Beccari, "which, regardless of the final outcome, will be an important step forward for the international community to put an end to the ongoing war and escalating tensions that have characterized the relations between Israel and Palestine for years now."
